Vegetable Patch No. 2

In the far distance, there is a separate vegetable patch, where asparagus grew. But rabbits developed a liking for it and despite fences, jumped in and ate it.
In 2023 the long rows of potatoes were replaced by 6 ‘no-dig’ beds and potatoes were grown in those with variable sucess.
Various potted Cucurbits are then planted so that by late summer they take over and the area becomes a pumpkin patch. In the autumn they are harvested to decorate the church for Harvest Festival and the the pumpkins taken home and cooked by parishioners.
